The research results have been widely-used by US farmers when selecting advisory services and have also provided the foundation for a new generation of grain market ‘averaging' contracts.

This innovative outreach project provides comprehensive economic information and analysis for farmers and agribusinesses in the U.S. Cornbelt. Co-developer of the farm gate ( http://www.farmgate.uiuc.edu/), the first public-sector blog for farmers and agribusinesses in the U.S. Cornbelt. Introduced in December 2005, this pioneering site at the University of Illinois provides integrated information across agricultural subject-matter disciplines and receives over 10,000 unique visitors monthly.
Co-developer of Agritrends, a quarterly television program produced at The Ohio State University. The 30-minute program updated the agricultural commodity situation and presented important agricultural policy issues in a ‘talk-show' format. Over 20 public television stations throughout the US regularly aired the program between 1987 and 1993.
$4.4 million in grants awarded to support research and outreach program ($3.3 million in competitive extramural grants; $1.1 million in intramural grants and private gifts).
