Guidelines
In this paper, general guidance is provided in selecting among the different
crop insurance products available to Illinois grain farmers. This is accomplished
by first listing the crop insurance products available during 1999. These products,
perhaps with some modifications, will be available to Illinois farmers for the
2000 crop year. Then products are divided into types. How each type works is demonstrated.
Finally, general rules for selecting between types are given.
