AgMAS Review Panel
Purpose: To provide independent, peer-review
of AgMAS Project research.
Members:
- T. Randall Fortenbery, Associate
Professor, Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics, University
of Wisconsin-Madison - Dr. Fortenbery’s
nationally-recognized research program focuses on agricultural
price performance in local and national markets. His program examines
impacts of new information on relative prices, as well as overall
price levels. He also is engaged in studying the impact of futures
price action on the stability of cash prices. Dr. Fortenbery’s
extension program focuses on identifying and measuring price risk,
and applying risk management strategies to agricultural enterprises.
This component involves direct consultation, group teaching, regular
outlook presentations, and curriculum development.
- Diana Klemme Vice President, Director-Grain
Division - Diana leads an experienced
staff that develops merchandising and risk-management programs
for GSC's agricultural clients. She also oversees the firm's nationally-known
agricultural workshops on hedging, merchandising, and producer
marketing strategies. She has a B.S. in Psychology from Purdue
University, and worked in the cash grain industry through the
70's. Diana is a well-known author of articles on agricultural
risk management, and is a leading and long-time advocate of issues
affecting the grain industry. She served on National Grain &
Feed Association's Executive Committee and currently serves on
their Risk Management Committee, which she formerly chaired.
